Where Will My First Resort Maps Territory be Located? Resort Maps is well suited for most business and resort locations. We will work with you in selecting a mutually approved location for your map. What Kind of Office do I need? A typical Resort Maps office occupies a single room in the franchise owners home. There are no costly or complicated structural designs, interior decorations or equipment installations required. Getting started is a simple, quick and inexpensive process as compared with many other businesses. What Kind of Training do I Recieve? The Resort Maps Training Program is designed for owners and key personnel. Included in this comprehensive program is instruction in all areas needed for you to run your new business with confidence and success. Product knowledge, sales skills, customer interaction techniques, business operations, policies, procedures, marketing and promotional techniques covered in detail. Training takes place in our Waitsfield, Vermont headquarters and also in your franchise map territory. In addition, supplemental training will be offered on an on-going basis. How Soon Can I Operate My Resort Maps Territory? Once the Franchise Agreement has been signed, the site selected, and the training program completed, your new business can be operated right away. What Assistance and Continued Support do I Receive? Beginning with your map territory selection, map layout and design, obtaining equipment and supplies, introductory mailing to area business community, through day-to-day operations, Resort Maps is available, helping to insure the success and growth of your business. You will receive a confidential complete Resort Maps Operations Manual with periodic updates covering all areas of the Resort Maps System. Our staff of professionals will communicate with each franchisee on an ongoing basis and is always available for consultation and assistance on all facets of your operation. What is Included in the Initial Franchise Fee? The Resort Maps Training Program will train you in all aspects of sales and production. We travel to your exclusive area, provide a sales mock-up and assist in making final map preparations while you sell. This is all included in your initial franchise fee of just $25,000! (Printing of the map, display advertisement map drawing and map layout production is not included.) While you will utilize an outside design firm for display advertisement production, the map drawing and all map production, including pre-press, is done by Resort Maps Franchise, Inc. What is the Charge for Continuing Services? Each franchise owner is required to pay Resort Maps Franchise a 10% royalty fee based on the Gross Advertising Sales of each map for the risk reduction associated with the purchase of a proven business system, as well as the high level of services and continuing technical support provided by Resort Maps Franchise, Inc. What is the Term of the Franchise Licence? The initial term is 10 years with the option for renewals of 2 additional 5 year terms.
